Since your 2019 KZ escape 191 bh has a GVWR of 4000lbs it should have trailer brakes installed from the factory, so you will need to have a 7-way connector and trailer brake controller on your 2019 Honda Ridgeline AWD RTL to use the brakes.
If your Ridgeline does not already have a 7-way connector installed you will need to add one using T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118288.
For a trailer brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 as it is an extremely reliable controller and has great features like an easy to read LCD screen, and built in diagnostics that are easy to read and understand.
To install the # 90195 you will want the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Honda # 3070-P which will plug into the factory trailer brake port located above the emergency brake pedal.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
