Long Adjustable Ball Mount For 11,000 lb Trailer
Question:
Thanks Kyle! I have a 2.5" receiver on the truck. Does that change any of your recommendations?

So there isn't a 6 inch hitch extender for a 2 inch hitch that has an 11,000 lb capacity and 1,200 lb tongue weight capacity, and hitch extenders also reduce the capacity of your hitch by 50 percent, so they are generally just used for accessories like bike racks or cargo carriers. That means the best option we can offer is a ball mount with an extended reach, which may work for you depending on the distance you need.
The longest ball mount that has the capacity you need is from BulletProof Hitches, as they have an adjustable ball mount which measures 13-1/8" from the center of the rear hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball, as you can see by the accompanying photo. The ball mount comes in a number of different rise/drop options.
- 4" Drop/Rise: BulletProof Hitches Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for 2" Hitch # HD204
- 6" Drop/Rise: BulletProof Hitches Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for 2" Hitch # HD206
- 8" Drop/Rise: BulletProof Hitches Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for 2" Hitch # HD208
The photo shows the 4" rise/drop, but each of the above options do have the same 13-1/8" hitch pin to hitch ball length. They also each have the same capacities, with the 2" hitch ball capable of 12,000 lbs towing and the 2-5/16" hitch ball rated for 22,000 lbs. To lock it to your hitch you will need the etrailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98881.
