Which Trailer Hitch Has Higher Ground Clearance For a 2012 Toyota Prius V
Question:
Which hitch DrawTite or Hidden Hitch has a higher ground clearance and closer to car bumper or slimmer side profile?

The Draw-Tite Hitch, # 24847, and the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, # 60263 (no longer available), are basically the same hitch so they both have the same ground clearance and side profile. Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch are sister companies that use the same design process for their trailer hitches. The top of the receiver tube for both trailer hitches will sit 4-3/4 inches below the frame rails on your 2012 Toyota Prius V.
If you are planning on using the hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier, then I would recommend going with the Draw-Tite hitch and save some money. The reason that the Hidden Hitch trailer hitch has a higher price tag over the Draw-Tite hitch is because it includes a ball mount for towing a trailer.
The only other trailer hitch that is compatible with your vehicle is the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C11276. This hitch will have a similar side profile to the Hidden Hitch and Draw-Tite hitches, but it has less ground clearance by about a 1/2 inch.
