Recommended Rear Suspension Enhancement For 2014 Toyota Tundra

I have a 2014 toyota tundra with a leveling kit up front. Recently, i put on a leer shell, ladder rack, and bed slide and now it is squatting...a lot. Together the accessories weigh around 700 pounds, and thats with nothing in the bed. The weight will be on at all times, what would you recommend in terms of suspension upgrades? I have looked into sumo springs, air bags, super springs, and the roadmaster active suspension kit and cant seem to get a good idea of the comparisons

I recommend going with a jounce-style spring kit such as the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TTORTUN4 or SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-610-54. The reason I don't recommend the airbag setup is because airbags require more maintenance and are much more costly as well; especially when you figure in the cost of compressors and air tanks. The jounce-style springs are completely maintenance-free and offer a simple bolt-in process. Another reason I recommend jounce springs instead of air bags is because air bags can easily get damaged and you will be out of luck if you have a heavy load on your truck at that moment. Also, jounce springs will not affect your unloaded ride quality, but will adjust automatically when weight is added. On the other hand, airbags will require attention and adjustment whenever you add or remove weight, making it much more of a hassle.

The Timbren # TTORTUN4 has a 6,000lb weight capacity while the SumoSprings # SSR-610-54 have a 2,800lb weight capacity. Since you are always going to have at least some weight on the back end, I would go with the heavier duty Timbren setup. If you went with the SumoSpring setup and decided to add some weight to the bed of the truck or pull a heavy trailer then the SumoSprings will likely be maxed out. The Timbren will hold up much better and provide a more stable driving experience for your 2014 Toyota Tundra. This will significantly reduce rear-end sagging and will reduce body roll on turns.
