Recommended Weight Distribution/Sway Control for 6000 lb 2019 Heartland Sundance Travel Trailer
Question:
I just purchased 2019 heartland sundance 201RD travel trailer rear slideout with 7500 max trailer weight dont expect to fill it that full. I am pulling TT with 2020 F150 ecoboost with max tow. Since I am 70 years old I wanted wdh/sway that is easy to install, and easy to use. I used etrailer tool and the Blue OX was not recommended. Can you tell me if Blue ox is acceptable and what size? I have electronic brakes. TT dry weight is 4800 lbs. Estimated loaded weight of trailer 6000 lbs give or take. Weight behind rear axle might 100 or 200 lbs. Also need to add the weight of the WDH. I am an old guy worried about sway so appreciate your advice.

Given the weight specs you described (thanks for those, by the way!), the tongue weight of your trailer will be somewhere in the 600-1000 lb range which is absolutely perfect for the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET.
You'd mentioned that you were very concerned about trailer sway, and for good reason. Travel trailers like your Sundance are very susceptible to trailer sway caused by cross winds and turbulence from oncoming or passing traffic. The sides of a travel trailer might as well be the sail on a sailboat on a windy day, and the 4-point sway control offered by the Equal-i-zer system will do an outstanding job fighting it, so you can arrive relaxed at your destination, rather than being stressed out. Take a look through the customer reviews, you'll be impressed.
The kit includes the system itself, the 2-5/16 trailer ball and the height adjustable shank which offers up to a 7 inch rise down to a 3 inch drop. To install the trailer ball, you'll need a 1-7/8 inch thin walled socket. If you don't have one or can't borrow one, we offer it as part # EQ70-00-4800
The Blue Ox # BXW1000 SwayPro you mentioned offers a good weight distribution component, but the effectiveness of the sway control portion of the product doesn't impress me. The Equal-i-zer system I mentioned would be much more effective for you.
If you check out the linked video, my buddy Hayden will walk you through the install/setup process.
