Recommended Tonneau Cover and Ladder Rack System for 2013 Toyota Tacoma Short Bed

Question:

Hello... I have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab 4-door with the short bed. I am looking to get a tonneau cover and rack system combo for it, but am not sure of options with the short bed. I was wondering if the Adarac Pro Ladder Rack and BAKFlip Hard Folding Tonneau Cover would work together for my configuration? If not, are there any other possibilities for me? I like the Adarac, as its roughly cab height, opposed to others that are a few inches taller than the cab which Im trying to avoid. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I have a solution for you, but there is not an Adarac Pro Series available for a 2013 Toyota Tacoma; additionally the combinations that will work together on your vehicle are extremely limited.

Starting with the ladder rack, I recommend using the Yakima Overhaul HD # Y01151-58 because of the durable HD crossbars and the fact that it can be adjusted so that the bars sit parallel to your cab, or put them all the way down to the tonneau cover. This ladder rack uses strong HD bars that are ideal for carrying kayaks, ladders or even a roof top tent. This rack normally would mount to the bed rails and obstruct the installation of a tonneau cover, but you can use the # Y01155 to allow you to mount this system on certain tonneau cover systems.

For the tonneau cover, I recommend using the Retrax ONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover - Retractable - Polycarbonate - Matte Black - Accessory T-Slot # RTT-60811. The Retrax system is a sleek, retractable hard tonneau cover with a track rail system that allows you to mount a ladder rack on it (with the above mentioned adapters).

I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to check out, but this would be the only system available that can be configured for your 2013 Toyota Tacoma.
