Does Roadmaster Rear Tire Carrier RM-195125 Have Lift Assist

Question:

Roadmaster rear tire carrierswing down. Does it have a spring assist to help with the weight of lower/raising? If so, how much help? Would be a powered replacement for the stock Roadtrek off set mount that is Very Heavy to let down/up for left rear door access.

While the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125 doesn't have a shock or spring setup to make lifting it easier it does have a telescoping handle that gives you the mechanical advantage of leverage which will make it feel lighter as you go to lift it back into place. This is a much simpler and lighter weight solution to moving the heavier weight of a wheel and tire which allows the carrier to be a bit lighter weight.
