Why Does Furrion 2-in-1 Range Oven FR97KR Require Bottom Support

Question:

I want to swap an existing Dometic Vision 21” for the Furion 21” model. The Furrion info brochure says the unit should be supported at the bottom. My existing installation is not supported at the bottom - the unit is supported by the rim at the top with screws in four positions. Can you advise what support at the bottom of the Furrion unit is necessary - so I can determine what can be added for support. Thank you.

The Furrion 2-in-1 Range Oven with Glass Cover - 21" Tall - Stainless Steel # FR97KR does require bottom support to hold the weight of the oven, and Furrion recommends 4" from the bottom of the # FR97KR to the floor.

Using plywood to make a base for the bottom if there is not currently anything there, and lumber like 2x4s to create legs to hold the weight of the oven would be your best bet. Basically any structure that can hold the roughly 70lbs of the oven will work fine.

I included a link to the instructions of the # FR97KR for you to take a look at.
