Does Pace Edwards 311-LK290 PowerGate Tailgate Lock Tie Into Vehicle Alarm System

I am considering installing a Pace Edwards power tailgate lock on my 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. Once installed will it interface with the OEM alarm system.

According to the folks at Pace Edwards, their # 311-LK290 PowerGate tailgate lock will not interface with the vehicle's alarm. It will tie into the power locks so the tailgate lock will actuate with the key fob, but as far as the alarm system goes, the lock will operate independently of the vehicle's alarm system.
