Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock Stopped Working On 2019 Honda Ridgeline
Question:
My popnlock for my 2019 Honda Ridgeline stopped working after about 8 months. Today, I pulled the tillage cover off and looked into it. No activity at all when I lock and unlock the car. I checked the wiring at point of connection under dash area w a tester. I believe the blue wire was hot , as the light came on when I used key fob. Nothing happened when testing the other wire. Not sure if anything should have. Any suggestions? Thank you.

If you're having issues with the Pop & Lock # PAL8600 I would say first check the wires that you routed from your tailgate to under the truck. Make sure that the wires have not been pinched. If it seems to be fine, continue to check the wire to make sure it is still in good condition. In the engine bay you may see that heat may have caused the issue over time.
If the wire is fine. Go to the panel under your hood release and test the yellow and red wire when locking and unlocking. You should be getting power there. Then you should test your blue and green wires right at that point. If you don't have power then you should redo the connection. If you do have power check the blue and green wires in your tailgate. If you don't have power there you have an issue with the wire. Inspect the wire again and see if you can fix the pinched or split wire. If you do have power everywhere, the module may have gone bad and you will need to replace it.
