Comparing Blue Ox SwayPro and Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System for 4,500 Lb trailer
Question:
We have a 2018 GMC Canyon and ordered a 4500lb dry weight trailer thats 25 ft. total length. Leaning toward the Sway Pro unless you have a compelling reason to choose the Equalizer. Id like to keep everything US made if possible. Will the BW hitch ball with 2.5inch shaft work on the Sway Pro? Thanks!

The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution part # BXW0750 and Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System part # EQ37060ET are both great options. They are both made in the USA. The SwayPro does have some advantages over the Equal-i-zer in that there are built-in zerk fittings for easy maintenance, they have a very easy to use tensioning mechanism, and there are no head tilt adjustments that need to be made.
The hitch ball shank length would need to be at least 2-5/8" and the only USA made option we have for this is the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball part # BWHB94003.
