What Position Does Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Need to Be in To Function Properly
Question:
I bought the tekonsha p3 and I’ve noticed that depending on its position it applies the brakes harder or softer. I have a video showing this that I could send you if it would help. Is this normal?

The Prodigy P3 brake controller part # 90195 does need to be in a specific position for the inertia sensor to function properly. It needs to face squarely towards the rear of the tow vehicle and also has to be level from side to side.
I attached pictures for more info on how it should be positioned.
