Recommended Hitch for 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with Aluminess Bumper
Question:
I understand there is a difference between buying a receiver if I have or do not have a factory step. I plan on removing the factory step and adding an aftermarket bumper from Aluminess. My question is do I still buy a hitch receiver designed to work with the factory step or not? Thank you!

Helpful Expert Reply:
The factory step bumper for a 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter will hang down lower than the standard bumper so the trailer hitch for the step bumper hangs down lower as well to account for this. There won't be a guaranteed hitch fit for a vehicle with aftermarket bumper but the best option would be the hitch for a step bumper since it will give more room for clearance. This option would be the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13358.
