Is Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller Good Choice for 2021 Ford Bronco Sport
Question:
Have a new 2021 Ford Bronco Sport First Edition which has a factory 4-way trailer connector. We are purchasing a 2021 inTech Luna Rover tear trailer to haul which has electric brakes. Looking to use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller paired with the 7-way RV Upgrade Kit #ETBC7L. Will this work and is it the best option? With the mentioned brake controller being wireless, where does the output wire from the 7-way go which is typically connected to the brake controller?

Expert Reply:
The brake controller setup you mentioned of the Curt Echo Mobile part # C51180 and the 7-way adapter part # ETBC7L would be the best and easiest brake controller solution for your 2021 Ford Bronco Sport.
The output circuit on the vehicle side of the trailer wiring won't need to be completed as the Echo will be where the circuit starts.

The ETBC7L video says 7 pin does not provide power for electric brakes. How does brake controller work if there is no power to the brakes?
