Frame-Mount Platform 2 Bike Carrier For Unique Bikes With Fenders
Question:
Im most interested in the Saris Freedom EX 2 but unfortunately, it not available now. Can you recommend another quality rack for a variety of bikes some have fenders. The Freedom has good features. Thanks.

The best bike rack for you is going to be the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack # C18085. This similarities to the Saris Freedom EX 2 Bike Rack that you mentioned. The Curt # C18085 fits 1-1/4" and 2" receiver and has a weight capacity of 45lbs per bike. If you will be transporting electric bikes, then you may want to remove the battery to lower the weight of the bike. This Curt bike rack offers a few really neat features. There are built-in bike locks on the adjustable arms that mount to the bike frame, which will ensure your bikes are always safe and secure. It also has a handy tilting mechanism, which lets you gain access to your vehicles trunk/rear cargo area.
The Curt # C18085 allows up to 3" wide tires. If you will be transporting fat bikes with tires wider than 3", I recommend going with the slightly different version Curt # C18085-FB. The only difference here is the allowance of up to 4-7/8" wide bike tires. I have attached demonstration videos for both of these bike racks.
