Supplemental Flat Towing Braking System Recommendation for 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have a 2006 Jeep grand cherokee I tow behind a 2013 Georgetown Forrest river 377TS 38 feet in length. looking for recommendations for an invisibrake system. Or any other quality braking system application. Thanks

For a supplemental braking system, there are two basic styles to choose from. A permanently mounted system or a portable system. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
A permanently mounted system like the # RM-8700 Invisibrake would be immediately ready to go once installed, but a portable system will take a minute or two to install and set up, which makes a permanently mounted system more convenient.
However, a permanently installed system will require some time to install. If you're having somebody else complete the installation, this can be expensive. If you're only planning on holding on to the tow vehicle for a short time, a portable system would be a better choice as it can easily be swapped to a different vehicle in the future, while removing a permanently installed system would take awhile. If you plan on hanging onto the vehicle for a number of years, a permanently mounted system would work great.
For a portable system, I'd recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR. You'd also need a # RM-9332 12-volt outlet kit.
Regardless of which of the two you ultimately go with, you'll also need a # RM-88400 relay, unless you're using magnetic tow lamps.
