Finding Correct Replacement For Dico 16859 Hub on Boat Trailer
Question:
Hi, I need to replace the hub and bearing assembly on my boat trailer. DICO 16859 is stamped on the back of the hubs I have now. It is a single axle trailer. Do you carry a replacement? Thanks.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any reference online for a Dico 16859 hub, but I can likely help find replacements for you.
To properly cross reference your existing hubs to those we offer, I'll need you to identify the wheel bearings and grease seal, as the replacement hub will need to be compatible with your spindle. I will also need to know the hub's bolt pattern. I'll link you to a help article that shows how to do this.
If you pull one of the hubs, the wheel bearings should have a reference number stamped or engraved on the side of the bearing cage. If it doesn't, I'll need to know the diameter of the spindle where the inner and outer bearings ride, if they're different sizes. For the grease seal, I'll need to know the diameter of the spindle where the seal rides and the diameter of the hub bore where the seal installs. This needs to be a precise measurement, out to 2 or 3 decimal places, so using a digital caliper like # PTW80157
is recommended.
