The reverse light circuit on a 7 way plug like the # ETBC7 will be the center pin/blade on the plug, so you'll want to splice into the reverse light circuit on your vehicle and connect it to the 7 way. You can use some 10 gauge wiring # 10-1-1, which is sold by the foot and splice it together with a butt connector like the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector - 12-10 Gauge - Nylon Insulation - Yellow - Qty 5 # DW05745-5. This will be helpful if your surge brake actuator has an electronic lockout that is activated by the reverse light circuit.
