How to Get Better Clearance from your Gooseneck Trailer with a B&W Ball and Coupler

Question:

My 2015 Silverado 2500 truck bed keeps getting bent by my Elite gooseneck horse trailer. It hits the tailgate and side bed panel. Is there any kind of extension or alterations I can make to the hookup to get more clearance? I have bandw ball in truck bed.

We have a solution for your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500.

If you're not getting enough clearance with your B&W gooseneck ball, then one thing you can do is swap out the ball with the B&W 4" Offset Ball, part # BWGNXA4085. This is perfectly compatible with the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck trailer hitches and will give you an additional 4 inches in the back. This may not sound like much, but many times that's all that is needed to ensure everything is clearing correctly. I've linked to a video review of this ball for you to look at.

If it turns out that 4 inches is in fact not enough, then instead of replacing your ball, you can replace your trailer's coupler. With the B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler, part # BWTEXA4200, you will gain 10 inches of clearance. This coupler has an exceptional build quality with a vertical load limit of 6000 pounds and weight capacity of 24,000 pounds. I've linked to a video review of this coupler as well.
