How far out does the Trailer Spare Tire Carrier and Dolly Bracket DL22144 hold the spare?

Hi, can you tell me how far out from the frame this holds the spare? Im going to use it with 20.5 x 8 x 10 tire/wheel fairly deep wheel on a snowmobile trailer tongue.

I spoke with my contact at Dutton-Lainson, and he told me that from the mounting plate to the trailer frame, the length of the carrier is 3.86 inches. This carrier is made for standard 8, 9, or 12-inch spare tires with 4 or 5-hole rims.
