Recommended B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch for 2021 Ford F-250 With Tow/Prep Puck Package

i just purchased a 2021 ford f250 that is equipped with the fifth wheel prep package...has 5 pucks in the bed. was looking to purchase the bandw 3500 from you guys but got to thinking that may not be the best fit?

You're correct. The # BWRVK3500 Companion you referred to is intended for vehicles only equipped with the B&W Turnover Ball in the truck bed, not the factory puck system. We do have an excellent solution, though.
For your 2021 Ford F-250 with the factory tow/prep puck system, I'd recommend the B&W Companion, part # BWRVK3300 for the long bed or # BWRVK3370 for the short bed. After a one-time initial adjustment, the hitch will only take a minute or two to install.
If you'd like the convenience of a 7-way trailer connector in the truck bed, you can install one using part
# C57008. I've linked to an install video for the trailer connector.
