I have another option but the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # 456-1 will not work with the Blue Ox Aventa LX tow bar you currently have.
To be able to use the Aventa tow bar with your 2000 Ford F150 4WD w/ Manual transfer case I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2131 as it is a confirmed fit for your vehicle and is compatible with the Blue Ox Aventa tow bar.
To complete your flat tow setup you will also need wiring for your lights, safety cables, and a supplemental braking system.
I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which will use diodes to protect your vehicle's wiring from feedback and damage.
For safety cables I recommend the Roadmaster 64" Single Hook # RM-645 which has a maximum weight capacity of 8000lbs.
Lastly for a supplemental braking system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to the easy install and being able to be quickly removed when you are not flat towing and will match the braking pressure applied to your tow vehicle's brakes to the brakes on your F-150.
It is a good idea to check the owner's manual of your vehicle for any steps required to make the vehicle ready to be flat towed, and to verify any restrictions regarding flat towing your vehicle.
