How To Measure a Trailer Roof Vent Lid for Replacement
Question:
I noticed that my living room roof vent is cracked, so I need to replace it but I dont know how to measure it for the best fit. The outside dimension is 16inch X 16inch the inside dimension is 13 1/4inch X 13 1/4. What is the correct way to measure a vent for replacement? I have a 1997 4085 Seaview Park Model.

The trailer roof vent lids are all pretty much the same standard size but there's more to it than that to find a replacement. It gets further broken down into hinge type. The best way really would be to find the model number of the vent but for such an old trailer I think the best option would be to go the universal route, the MaxxAir UniMaxx Universal Replacement Lid part # MA00-335001 or part # MA00-335002.
