The easiest supplemental braking system for your 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
This mounts in the driver side floor boards of your truck and pressed the brake pedal when you apply the tow vehicle brakes based on an inertia sensor.
