interested in the Redarc towpor elite for a 2018 GMC Canyon I have the7 pin factory connector is this a good choice for this vehicle and are other items needed?

The Redarc Tow Pro Elite brake controller # RED44FR is a really great option for a brake controller for your 2018 GMC Canyon and does not require any additional install harnesses as it will wire directly to the brake controller wiring present under the truck's dash.
