why does your add on Cipp #11400 in tech tips say that it does not fit on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Model?

While there are slip-on towing mirrors that fit your 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, the CIPA model you asked about won't fit because some models of Ram - including your SLT - have a different mirror housing that precludes the use of certain slip-on towing mirrors, and CIPA has determined their product won't fit.

So what you can use instead for slip-on towing mirrors are the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors - Slip On - Driver and Passenger Side # LVT-3100C.

These slip-on mirrors are easy to install, will give your Ram a seamless OEM look, and have a large mirror face which is manually adjustable so you can get the best view.
