Installing Tekonsha Voyager in 2017 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I have a 2017 Silverado 1500. I got a Tekonsha Voyager trailer break control when a friend upgraded theirs. I was wondering how to wire it to the factory included harness that came with it as they cut the wires from the trailer brake controller to its harness. Im having a hard time with the chevy harness and the white with blue stripe wire as it says brk sig. Does it connect to the red wire or the blue coming from the control? Thank you.

The easiest solution I can provide would be to use the install harness part # 3016 to install the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 but instead if you'd prefer to use the factory wiring harness you'd need to know the functions of the brake controller wiring and then match up to the wiring of the harness that you have now. White is ground, blue is brake output, red, is stoplight signal, and black is 12 volt power.

my factory controller is not working. I bought a voyager and the factory pigtail. for whatever reason. Iv'e already cut blue wire and ran a new one to back. So I get green light when I plug in. But I am unsure where this blue wire with white stripe is specifically located. I very much need to find it so I can get my brakes working. I have power and ground already. And what exactly do I do with the oem controller? Just unplug it? On another note. Where could I find the wiring diagram for my oem controller? the harness that plugs right into the back. I know I am not getting any power to it.
