Why Arent Instructions Listed for EcoHitch that Fits 2016 Honda Fit
Question:
Hi, Im interested in this hitch for my 2016 Honda Fit but since there are no installation instructions or videos Im not sure if its easy enough to install myself. The 1 1/4inch hitches look easy to do but are class I. Most of the bike racks Im interested in for my ebike are class II and even though the bikes would be within the correct weight limit for class 1 its my understanding that a class II bike rack wont actually fit into a class I hitch. So I guess I have 2 questions: 1 Do you have instructions for the 2inch hitch install and if not how difficult is it to install? And 2 Would a class II bike rack fit into a class I hitch? Thanks!

EcoHitch is very secretive about the install instructions they offer for their hitches like the # 306-X7273 that fits your 2016 Honda Fit but I am going to email you a copy of the instructions to you in a separate email. The install is not overly difficult but it will take a reasonable amount of time to pull off.
A Class II hitch accessory like a bike rack will not fit into a Class I trailer hitch. There is a stop built into Class I hitch tubes to prevent this. You'd need a Class I bike rack like the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z.
