Vehicle Wiring Harness Trailer Connector Converter Issue on my 2004 Subaru Baja
Question:
I have purchased the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector from you. I think a short in the trailer wiring has caused the converter to fail. Is there a way to repair the converter? Or will I have to purchase a brand new order of the Hopkins wiring harness/converter? Thank you

I hate to say it but the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # HM11143875 does not have a serviceable converter.
I would check your owner's manual first to ensure that you did not simply blow a fuse on your 2004 Subaru Baja. Since this converter is powered by the vehicle it is very likely this is the issue. Look for a Trailer Tow or Trailer Power fuse. These can also sometimes be TRLR as well.
Fuses can be hard to pull and see if they have blown. They can be tested with a probe tester like Hook Probe Circuit Tester part # PTW2993.
