Question:

I have a 2014 Crusader 315RST . I am having trouble getting the power switch to turn on and off . I replaced the battery last year on the unit after I replaced it was when I had trouble turning it on and off it works ok after I get it turned on but lately it’s taken several times pushing the switch to get it to come on could the panel where the on and off button is be going bad or do I need to reset something. Thanks in advance for your help

The Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System w Touchpad and Remote - 4-Point Set Item # LC358590 on your 2014 Crusader 315RST you might have an issue with the panel. Here are few things to try to narrow it down.

1 - Disconnect the shore power going into the camper
2 - Make sure the tow vehicle power is not connected to the camper
3 - Disconnect everything but the power from jacks to the battery to include: battery chargers, solar panels, etc
4 - Run your awning in and out a few times to pull a load off the battery. If you don't do this step your panel could still be reading 11.8 to 13 volts.
5 - On the back of the panel you will see a black wire and a green wire. The green is your ground. You need to test the black power wire to determine if you are receiving enough power to the panel. There should be a four prong connector close to the panel that the black wire runs into, disconnect and test the prong with the black wire. You need at least 11.8 volts at the black wire. If after testing you are reading 11.8 volts or more it is most likely the panel itself that needs to be replaced.

I recommend the Replacement Control Panel for Lippert Ground Control 3.0 and Travel Trailer RV Leveling System Item # LC421484
