Difference Between Weight Distribution Chain Lift Brackets # 586392 and # RP21501
Question:
My pull trailer weighs 8500 pounds. I am looking at the RP21501, RP6637 and 58392 brackets. Which bracket would you recommend? My trailer hitch dimentions are 2 1/4 wide by 6 .

Expert Reply:
Because your trailer is fairly heavy, I would recommend you go with 2 of the # 58392 lift brackets.
The 58392 has extra gusseting welded to it for reinforcement, and would be better suited to a heavier trailer like yours, because the spring bars will be under greater tension than they would be for a lighter trailer.
Part # RP6637 is a kit that includes two of the # RP21501 brackets and the lift handle.
If you look at the photo I have edited for you, you can see the difference between the two brackets.
