If your 1998 Dodge Dakota has a trailer hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver, then the Dodge Dakota Hitch Cover, # 102302, will fit in your receiver.
If you do not know the size of your trailer hitch receiver, then you will want to measure the height and width of the receiver opening on your hitch. I have attached an FAQ article on how to find your hitch size that should help.
