How to Get Brake Light Separate from Turn Signals on Trailer Wiring for Third Brake Light
Question:
I have a 2009 Honda Goldwing GL 1800 with a California sidecar trike conversion 2012 Cobra XL I change all motorcycle lights to LED using Pathfinder lights and for the rear SEQUENTIAL SPOILER LIGHT W/DYNAMIC BRAKE/RUNNING LIGHTS and GL1800 FLASHES WHEN BRAKING - REAR LED CONVERSION KIT. I bought a pull behind trailer 2004 Bushtec Genesis all lights work except the brake lights and the spoiler brake lights. I checked and there are electricity in the cable when activating the brakes but the lights does not work. The brakes are together with the running lights, those work properly, only the brakes does not come on. Any suggestion or recommendations, all cables are alright and the reading in the meter when pressing the brakes is 13.1. Desperate in this side, help really appreciated.

Expert Reply:
Typically motorcycle wiring has the brake lights and the turn signals on separate wires which is the opposite of trailer wiring which has them on the same circuit. Since you have combined circuits that you want to be separate for the third brake light to illuminate you'd need a converter like # 118158 and you'd be set.
