The SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps for 24" Wide RV Door Frames - Double - Aluminum # LC713662 is roughly 22" wide when measured from the outside of each step frame, so you will be able to make this fit inside your 23-1/2" wide door frame. I've linked a photo diagram of this measurement.
