The Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 3 Bike Rack # HRF2-3 is confirmed to fit Volvo XC90 years 2003-2019. This is a great rack as it installs easily onto the rear hatch of your vehicle and can safely hold up to three bikes. Its unique top arm design allows it to secure the rack to your vehicle while allowing clearance from your vehicle spoiler, preventing scratching or other damage.

Note that depending on the frame style of your bikes, you might need an adapter bar to use the bikes with the Hollywood Racks hanging bike rack. I recommend the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005 which can extend from 24-3/8" - 33-3/4" and prevents scratches or other damage to your bike frame with its vinyl-coated hooks.

I reached out to Hollywood Racks regarding fit for a 2020 XC90 and they said they have not tested this rack for fit. They mentioned it is likely not a suitable option for a 2020 based on the lack of space on the bumper being not sufficient enough for the rack to rest on. Instead, they recommend a hitch or roof mounted bike rack. I recommend going with the hitch-mount.

For a hitch-mounted bike rack, I recommend the Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack # TH9058. This rack holds up to two bikes and installs easily onto 1-1/4" and 2" hitch receivers. If you don't already have a hitch installed on your XC90, I recommend Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C53HR. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver that fits a wide variety of accessories.
