I'm happy to inform you that the Curt Hitch, part # C78KR, does indeed fit with your 2018 Lincoln MKX. This hitch is custom designed for the MKX line and features a simple installation process. It's a Class III hitch and can handle up to 4500 pounds of gross trailer weight and 675 pounds of tongue weight, so you will be able to haul a variety of accessories.
If you're looking to use a trailer with this hitch, then I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118682, for wiring. It has a Powered ModuLite that reduces the strain on your existing wiring system. I've included a link to a video installation of this wiring on a 2016 MKX.
You will also need a ball mount and a hitch ball. These will depend on the difference between the hitch height and the trailer's coupler height. I've linked to an article that will help you with determining which ball mount to use.
