Curt Class II Euro Style Drawbar # C45592
Question:
I bought this Curt trailer hitch and had it installed at a trailer rental company, everything fits great and the Euro style hitch I bought from you fits and works as expected. The only problem is that I would like to have the ball higher off the ground. The center of the ball is only 13 inches off the ground and it would work a lot better if it were about 18 inches. Do you have any suggestions or solutions? I bought the C45592 ball mount.

After speaking to my contact at Curt, I found the most height extension you can achieve with the Curt Class II Euro Style Drawbar # C45592 for your 2011 Volkswagen Golf is with the Curt Class II Drawbar # C45015. This is a 5-inch rise drawbar which provides a total height increase of 2 inches for any cargo you would tow with your vehicle.
