The Westin Custom Fit Truck Bed Mat part # 50-6165 which is a fit for a 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 with 8' bed is made of a thick rubber weighing around 70 lbs total. I have handled many of these and it would be very unlikely for one to fly off out of the truck bed. For one, the shear weight of them would stop all but tornado force winds from being able to throw them from the bed but all the wheel well pockets and what not hold them in place rather securely. I personally would not have any concerns at all with it flying out and I'm sure you will as well once you get your hands on one.
