Trailer Lights Going Out With Brake Controller
Question:
Ive installed a prodigy e brake controller on a 2001 chevy silverado. When I press my brake and my headlights are on for night operations the right side of my trailer light will turn off whe brakes applied..ease help

It sounds like you have an overload, corrosion, or potential ground issue if the lights on your trailer are going out when you are using your Prodigy P2 # 90885 or P3 # 90195 trailer brake controller.
Start by checking your trailer connectors for corrosion or dirt, as that may be the cause of a short; check the plug to see if there is any type of corrosion built up that may be hampering its functionality. Also go over your wiring and look for wires that may be pinched or otherwise damaged and fix as necessary. You'll also need to make sure the ground wires are attached to bare metal surfaces and free of any paint, dirt or corrosion.
