Recommended Fat Tire E-Bike Carrier for Scamp 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

I have a Scamp 5th wheel trailer with a factory 2” receiver. When I called Scamp they said the hitch receiver could handle 200 lbs. We have two Rad fat wheel e bikes which weigh just under 60 pounds each without the battery attached. The Escapee 2, S64693 may work but only fits a 3” tire. Does the rack have an adaptor to fit our 4” bikes? Also if the two bikes weigh 120 lbs. what does the rack weigh in order to come in under 200 lbs? Recommendations?

I recommend using the Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR, which is approved for use on a 5th wheel and can hold fat bike tires up to 5" wide. It can hold heavy bikes up to 80 pounds each. If your bikes have aggressive step through frames you will need to use a bike frame adapter bar like the # 64005. The RV Rider weighs about 58-lbs so you'll be able to safely transport your bikes and stay under the tongue weigh capacity of your hitch.
