Troubleshooting a B&W Companion Hitch Bolt That Tightens But Latch Handle Still Pulls Out

After reinstalling my companion hitch my latch handle still pulls out after tightening bolt to 80 po

It sounds like what's going on with your # BWRVK3500 is that the socket adjuster on the inside of the post is on top of the post instead of going through it. You'll want to have the latch handle out completely in the open position and then loosen bolt up; then make sure that the socket adjuster that the bolt threads into is low enough and get it positioned in the socket. It's likely on top of the pin which is why it's tightening, but still opening.
