Recommended Suspension Enhancement for Mercedes Sprinter 2500 RV

Question:

Cost effective rear ride/sway improvement. New Sumo Bump stops? Leaf Spring Assist? Sway Bar? Which one is most effective. Hopefully not all three

In general, you could go one of two directions on this, but I think your best option is going to be with a leaf spring assist type solution, since they're going to provide the best sway control because they create an added layer to your existing leaf springs. However, what you're able to use is going to be dependent on whether or not your Sprinter has 2wd or 4wd.

If you've got a 2wd model MB Sprinter, I recommend using the SumoSprings # SSA11MTKT because they're going to help control sway and improve the ride quality regardless of whether the van is fully loaded or unloaded. These enhance your factory leaf springs to help stabilize and control sway that you might be experiencing, and they do provide superior sway control compared to a jounce spring style suspension enhancement. The down side is that this type of leaf spring enhancement is only available for the 2wd models of the Sprinter 2500.

If you've got a 4wd model MB Sprinter, I recommend using the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSR-327-47-2 (4wd). These springs will provide progressive load control that will engage more as weight is applied and they'll help fight sway and cushion road shock. You may not have the same results when the RV is unloaded compared to loaded, but they're also not going to be as rigid as the leaf springs.

I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to have a look at, as well.
