Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter Compatible with Small Motorcycle Trailer and Bike Rack

Question:

Aluma 7210 trailer, weight 400 lb. CanAm Spyder trike, weight 1,100 lb. Ford Edge with towing kit, factory installed, 2inch receiver, max towing capacity 3,500 lb. Can I use this adapter to add a bike rack to carry 2 bikes, total weight rack plus bikes about 120 lb? Thank you. Can I use it to pull a trailer with a motorcycle AND add a bike rack?

The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 6" Drop/Rise # RM-077-6 is not for use when towing a trailer. However, I do have an option for your Edge. You can use the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544 which is rated for up to 400 lbs total tongue weight and 4,000 lbs towing capacity. The hitch receiver will further limit you, but as long at the tongue weight of the trailer, the bike rack, and your ball mount don't exceed the tongue weight of your hitch you will be good to go.
