Installation of Roadmaster Ffalcon 2 Tow Bar Cover
Question:
No matter how I route the strap it can easily fall off while driving. How is the retaining strap supposed to be routed to secure the cover when not towing?

It sounds like you have the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-520 and a cover like the Roadmaster Tow Bar Cover # RM-055-3. I've attached a couple videos of the cover installation and the retaining strap just serves to snug the cover up to the tow bar in the stowed position. You can absolutely drive with this cover on as the majority of wind will not directly impact the cover because of the location behind the motorhome. If you are still concerned, you can either run bungee cords around it or remove it for driving and simply use it only when storing the system to give the components protection from UV rays and other direct elements.
