How To Find Return Line When Installing Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler

Question:

How do I find out which I’d the return line to the transmission on the connections to the radiator. I’m not bypassing I’m going to use both thank you for your help

In regards to installing a transmission cooler like the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler part # D13503, you will need to identity the return line. In order to do this, take a few short laps around the block and then grab one of the two transmission hoses feeding the radiator. The cooler of the two hoses will be the return line.

Please note, for GM applications you'll also most likely need the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting part # D13035.
