Part to Conver Carefree Manual Pull Style Awning to Solera Power Awning

Question:

I have a Carefree Fiesta, manual pulldown main awning on my Class A RV that I am considering retrofit with the Solera Electric arms and motor. The existing awning rolls into an aluminum cover when stowed. The roller and awning are in very good condition so I want to re-use them. Two questions: 1- the new Solera arms will need to bridge an existing dryer vent on one side so it will need to be spaced approximately 1 inch off the coach wall at top and bottom. Is this a problem and will it be necessary to space it off the coach wall on the other side as well? 2- what length Solara arms are necessary for the existing 18 foot wide X 8 foot deep awning? Thank you.

You mentioned you have a manual pull down awning on your RV, and you can convert it, but you would not be able to use the conversion kit with arms, as they are not compatible with pull down styles, and the dryer vent would also interfere. What you would need is a pull style conversion kit, which you can choose based on the color you want:

- Black: Solera Manual Pull Style to Power Awning Conversion Kit # LC329251

- White: Solera Manual Pull Style to Power Awning Conversion Kit # LC329250
