Easiest Rack For Loading Kayak Roof Rack On My 2015 Kia Sorento
Question:
Looking for my 1st kayak roof rack for a 2015 Kia Sorento with manufacture cross bars. I will only be transporting one Old Town Loon 106 kayak and will be loading/unloading by myself 31inch width and 53 pounds. It appears while the Megawing Kayak Carrier my be more than I need, I like the idea of sliding it up from the rear of my vehicle. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I always recommend the etrailer J-Style Carrier # e98878 because it is simple, gets the job done and is a very cost effective option. While loading from the back may seem ideal. I am not a fan as the kayak can make contact with the vehicle when loading from the back. I like side loading the best and if you're looking for ease of use, the LockRack # LR54FR because it doesn't require tie downs and you also do not need to lift the kayak up as much as you would on any J-Style Carrier. In my experience both the Lockrack and our J-Style Carrier will be easier to use compared to the Malone MegaWing # MPG207.
