Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform Tray that Fits 2016 Toyota 4Runner with Raised Rails

Question:

I’m thinking of getting the Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform Rack for Crossbars - Aluminum - 48 Long x 38 Wide. I have a 2016 Toyota 4Runner Tforce. Do I need to purchase the crossbars or Cs I just install it after I remove the basket. If I need the crossbars, what do you recommend? See pics below and thank you.

The Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform # RR42114BF that you referenced can fit your 2016 Toyota 4Runner with raised side rails but you'd need to install a set of crossbars on the vehicle. For that we have the Rhino Rack roof rack part numbers # RRVA126B-2 and # RRSX100 which would be a great option. You would need to remove the basket you have currently.

Another option is the Rhino Rack Pioneer platform tray part # JA9328 which is much better than the tray you referenced but it can attach directly to the raised side rails of your vehicle.
