we Can I Fix my Electric Trailer Jack if the Inner Tube just Spins when I Operate it.
Question:
WHEN I HIT THE SWITCH THE BASE OF THE JACK SPINS BUT THE JACK WILL NOT MOVE UP AND DOWN AT ALL

Use a wrench to hold the base of the jack and it will extend once it has extended a little bit you will see a groove on the inner tube of the jack. You want to line that groove up with the indention on the front of the outer tube. Once aligned you have to drive the indention back in to engage the groove this is most easily done with a flat chisel type punch. This indention and groove is what prevents the tube from spinning. Somehow the base of the jack got deformed enough that the two are no longer engaging and causing this issue.
If the jack is too deformed and you can't get them to re engage each other the jack will need to be replaced with the Ultra-Fab Electric A-Frame Jack part # UF38-944017 or the one I prefer which is the Electric Jack w/ Footplate - A-Frame part # EJ-3520-BBX. This one seems to hold up really well and has more lifting capability.
