Installation of Trailer Brake Controller and Tow Power on 2007 Ford Expedition

Question:

I have a 2007 ford expedition and have both a 4-way and a 7-way plugin on the rear of the vehicle. I checked and dont have power at the terminal for + or the terminal for the trailer electric brakes on the 7-way plug. Is this normal until I install the unit under the dash and plug it in there?

Your 2007 Ford Expedition should have 12v power at the 7-way without a brake controller connected, but the brake output will not be live at the 7-way without the brake controller powering it. You will need to add the # 3035-P for the brake controller and then add the brake controller you referenced # 90195 to get the trailer brake output.

The 30A trailer power charge is fuse #13 in the power distribution box in the engine compartment and relay #56.
